The EDUCATE Center administers the Regional Competition Central Division for the STEM Voice™ Video Competition. STEM Voice is a national competition inviting students in middle and high school to show, through the arts, how much they love Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). The contest encourages students to make creative videos to show why STEM is important to them, or who their STEM hero is and why.

To participate, students must be in Grades 5-12, under 18 years of age and legal U.S. residents.  Video submissions can include interviews, short stories, animations, or performances of drama or singing, and must correctly identify and explain the acronym STEM or explore the interdisciplinary nature of STEM.  All videos should be no more than 60 seconds and in a format that can be easily uploaded on the submission form.

The 2015 STEM Voice™ Video Competition opens on February 2, 2015. The deadline to submit videos and applications is Friday, April 17, at 11:59 PST.

STEM Voice™ Video Competition is administered by the Coalition of State Bioscience Institutes (CSBI). Founded in 2012, the CSBI is a national coalition of 42 state bioscience organizations and the Biotechnology Institute. These organizations work to ensure America’s leadership in bioscience innovation by delivering industry-led science education, workforce development and entrepreneurship programs through a nationally coordinated effort.
